Medical Assistant Opportunity

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Weymouth, MA (02189). This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

• Assists in flow of patients throughout the unit.
• Assists in recovery room with turnover of patients.
• Monitors patients in recovery room.
• Vital signs. Room turnover.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with medical tests.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including recording patient information, test results, and treatment plans.
• Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, billing managing patient data.
• Sterilize medical instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
• Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre or the
• Proven good communication and customer service skills

What skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart?

• Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required
• Good communication and customer service skills required
• Preferred Education. Experience & Skills At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Office Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 p.m
• Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2
