A leading Southern California Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) company with over 46 years of experience is seeking a Quality Engineer / Data Analyst to join our team. We specialize in PCB assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and systems integration, serving the industrial, medical, aerospace, and automotive markets.

The Quality Engineer / Data Analyst supports product and manufacturing quality through engineering analysis, problem-solving, and data-driven continuous improvement. This role analyzes quality and manufacturing data, identifies trends and root causes, develops performance reports, and works with cross-functional teams to improve quality and reduce defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain quality dashboards, reports, and KPIs, including First Pass Yield, defects, scrap/rework, RMAs, DMRs, and corrective actions.
• Support investigations of internal quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage 8D reports, CAPAs, and customer quality responses.
• Perform statistical analysis, SPC, Pareto analysis, and process capability studies.
• Support internal and customer audits and Quality Management System requirements.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop automated or standardized reports to improve quality reporting and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills; Power BI experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/QMS systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D, SPC, and continuous improvement methods.
• Electronics manufacturing/PCB assembly experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC-A-610, or J-STD-001 is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
