The Construction Accounting Manager oversees financial operations specific to construction projects, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes and compliance with industry standards. This role bridges the gap between accounting and project management, supporting the financial health and reporting needs of construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting activities related to construction projects.
- Ensure accurate job cost tracking and reporting throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinate with project managers to reconcile job costs and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports specific to construction operations.
- Develop budgets and forecasts for construction projects.
- Manage billing, receivables, and payables associated with construction contracts.
- Ensure compliance with construction accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff focused on construction financials.
