Our client, a leader in the cosmetics and personal care industry, is seeking a dedicated Chemist to join their team. As a Chemist, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance and Product Development departments, supporting innovative efforts in cosmetic characterization and stability testing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to excellence and innovation. Job Title: Chemist Location: Clark, NJ (Fully Onsite) Pay Range: $22- 25/hr Must Have: Beauty/Cosmetic/Hair Care/ Skin Care experience. Bachelor’s degree pH measurement,Rheology/viscometer/rheometer,Microscopy,Stability testing,Appearance & viscosity/Color What's the Job? Perform physicochemical characterization of haircare and cosmetic products following established protocols and quality standards. Conduct stability studies and physicochemical measurements across various cosmetic formats. Maintain comprehensive traceability from sample intake to data delivery, ensuring accurate documentation and version control. Update stability records, analyze data for trends, and flag anomalies for review. Contribute to workflow improvements by proposing testing process enhancements and optimizing instrument utilization. What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience or QC/Physical Measurements certification/diploma. Hands‑on experience with cosmetic characterization techniques such as pH measurement, rheology, microscopy, and stability testing. Strong foundation in math and science, with a methodical and organized approach to testing and documentation. Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams). Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn emerging tools and methods. What's in it for me?
