Concierge

Location: Kearney, MO Concierge Department: Administration Reports to: Business Office Manager Position Summary: Comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines, as applicable. Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED. Must work well with peers, maintain compassion and dignity to residents, and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights. May be required to return during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, temporary staffing shortages, etc.). Adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies and terms of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook. Must read, write, speak and understand English. Maintain the highest standards in caring for residents and their families. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures. Responsibilities / Accountabilities Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in. Assist visitors in locating resident rooms. Answer telephone and take messages, including call details, respond to requests, and forward information to staff. Announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff. Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested. Sort mail and distribute appropriately when requested. Create and maintain a warm, personable, and positive atmosphere. Maintain confidentiality of resident information to protect rights. Provide families and prospective residents with tours and community information. Assemble and maintain admission and information packets. Keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized. Perform other duties assigned by Business Office Manager or Executive Director. Ensure residents and families receive high quality, compassionate service. Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, or hazardous chemicals per policy. Report work‑related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor. Complete all assigned training and competency assessments. Participate in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings. Fulfill responsibilities during activation of the facility’s emergency plan. Assist with evacuation of residents during emergency. Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information. Report non‑compliance with policies or breaches of confidentiality. Cooperate with investigations and protect residents from abuse. Report abuse, neglect, misappropriation, exploitation, or mistreatment to supervisor or administrator. Report retaliation or discrimination to HR Director or Compliance Officer. Report suspected crime to law enforcement and state agency. Perform other duties as requested. Requirements Annual Health Requirements: Provide annual negative TB skin test verification. Physical and sensory requirements: must move intermittently during the workday; cope with mental and emotional stress of the position; see, hear, or use prosthetics as necessary for adequate functioning. General health requirements include a medical and physical examination per facility policies. Relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, occasionally agitated residents. Move, pull, lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet, and carry such weight across a minimum distance of 50 feet.
