Operating Room Registered Nurse | Day shift, No call

Registered Nurse – OR Circulator We are seeking a passionate full‑time, permanent Registered Nurse – OR Circulator to join our dynamic healthcare team at a state‑of‑the‑art surgery center focused on orthopedic surgeries and pain management procedures. Salary: $39 – $55 per hour. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room for surgery, setting up instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile conditions. Adhere to safety standards and precautions, verify patient identity and review surgical procedures to prevent errors. Assess patients before surgery (e.g., NPO status) and comfort them while alleviating anxiety. Assist surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Work with the surgical team, communicate patient information, and ensure patient safety during the operation. Monitor patient’s vital signs and maintain patient safety during the operation. Coordinate post‑operative care, including patient recovery and room turnover. Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing patient care requirements. Participate in ongoing educational activities to maintain competency and improve professional skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Current Connecticut state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. A minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience, with a strong preference for orthopedics experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Proficiency in the use of medical software and equipment.
