Surface Maintenance Repairer - Title 32As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE REPAIRER - TITLE 32, WG-5801-8, you will troubleshoot, perform maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul major systems. Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose the cause of mechanical failures. Remove and disassemble engines and major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and systems. Independently perform repairs and maintenance functions by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems. Conduct readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and equipment. Perform operational inspections and ensure vehicles and equipment are properly serviced. May maintain and repair equipment to include removing and replacing components and elements. Performs other duties as assigned.
