Job Summary TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel position in Austin, Texas. Position Details Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours per day Employment Type: Travel Job Description As a US Tech, you will operate the ultrasound machine, ensure accurate images, and pass images to physicians for interpretation. You will also prepare and care for patients undergoing ultrasound testing. Key Responsibilities Educate patients and their families regarding procedures performed. Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe area(s) of concern. Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures and guided biopsies. Report abnormalities requiring immediate attention to appropriate medical staff. Maintain sonography equipment and report equipment failures. Conduct scan tests and write reports based on results. Maintain accurate patient records. Understand and use the McKesson PACS system. Qualifications Must have 1 year of experience. Must hold BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state‑specific licensing when required. US Techs should be able to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods. Requires sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Certifications : ARDMS, BLS, ARDMS (RDMS OB/GYN). 2 years experience required.
