Role Description This full-time Sales Professional role is a hybrid position based in Corpus Christi, TX, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Professional will support families by presenting and selling pre-need and at-need funeral and cemetery products and services, both in person and via phone or virtual meetings. Daily activities include prospecting, following up on leads, conducting consultations, preparing proposals, and closing sales in a professional and empathetic manner. The role involves maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, coordinating with location staff to ensure seamless service delivery, and meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets. The Sales Professional will also participate in community outreach, attend training sessions, and uphold SCI's standards of ethics, compliance, and customer care. Qualifications Strong sales and customer service skills, including prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively, explain options clearly, and build trust with diverse families and communities. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple leads, follow-ups, appointments, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, email, virtual meeting tools, and standard office software. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage self-directed work, and collaborate with on-site and remote team members. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when dealing with sensitive and emotionally challenging situations. Prior experience in sales, insurance, real estate, or related fields is beneficial; experience in funeral or cemetery services is a plus but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in business, communications, or a related field is an advantage.
