This position will be primarily estimating of manufacturing costs to prepare customer quotes. Will also be cross-train to perform Manufacturing Planning functions as needed.Qualified individuals who possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and are detailed oriented are encouraged to apply.Essential FunctionsUsing customer supplied data (drawings, parts lists, and specifications) to generate comprehensive cost estimates for details and assembliesBreak down Bill of Materials to prepare materials, labor, and finish process estimatesConsult with customers, vendors, and internal personnel to formulate cost estimatesMeet deadlines and document progressPrepare/format quotes for submission to customersConduct special studies to develop time standardsCreate manufacturing plans (methods) using MRP system (planning function)Skills RequiredExperience with Milling, Turning, and Assembly of aerospace productsAbility to understand Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, and SpecificationsStrong attention to detail and organization skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyEffectively communicate with internal personnel, customers, and vendors as neededFlexible, dependable, and time conscious, with ability to move from project to project with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft ExcelExperience with an MRP or similar systemMinimum of 5 years' experience as an Estimator Other DutiesPlease note this description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
