Operations Technician

Optical Transport TechnicianType (Contract, C2H): 12 Month ContractLocation: 100% RemotePay Range: $25 - $30/hrDay to Day:Monitor and troubleshoot optical transport network issues and fiber cuts.Work tickets cradle-to-grave, including documentation, customer communication, and resolution.Troubleshoot DWDM and other optical transport network issues.Perform scheduled maintenance during after-hours maintenance windows.Collaborate with engineers and other technicians through a 24/7 remote NOC environment.Escalate complex technical issues when needed and provide shift-to-shift handoffs.Must Haves:NOC or network operations experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.Hands-on experience with optical transport / DWDM networks.Strong troubleshooting and break/fix experience.Experience working tickets from start to finish with detailed documentation.Strong communication and customer service skills.Experience with Ciena 6500, RLS, or WaveServer.Experience with Infinera optical equipment.Plusses:SONET experience.Experience supporting dark fiber, lit services, or managed optical networks.Experience working with multiple optical transport technologies.Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, (paid time, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually - AS Applicable).
