A/V Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced A/V Technician (AV Event Support Specialist) to support corporate events, executive meetings, town halls, and hybrid collaboration sessions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with professional audio/video equipment, conferencing platforms, and live event support in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Event Setup & Operation

• Configure and operate audio and video systems for corporate events, town halls, and executive meetings.
• Ensure proper signal flow and connectivity across all AV components.
• Provide technical expertise and support for Microsoft Teams and Webex platforms.
• Troubleshoot conferencing and platform issues during live sessions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with event organizers, IT teams, and external vendors to coordinate technical requirements.
• Provide real-time technical support and issue resolution during live events.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.

Equipment Management

• Maintain AV equipment inventory and ensure all equipment is event-ready.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of AV equipment.
• Escalate repair and replacement needs as required.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with professional audio systems, including microphones, mixers, and amplifiers.
• Experience with video systems, including cameras, switchers, and projectors.
• Familiarity with Poly conferencing systems and AV signal flow.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in live event environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with streaming platforms and hybrid event technologies.
• Knowledge of AV control systems and networking fundamentals.
• CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and transport AV equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure event environments.
