This facility is located in Lame Deer, a small community surrounded by pine-covered hills. For the outdoor enthusiasts, there are numerous places to hike, mountain bike, or fish on the reservation. The service unit is about 63,000 square feet and includes a staff of over 100 to help serve those needs. • Planning, review and implementing treatment programs based upon initial and interim evaluations.
• Communicating and collaborating with the patients, family members, caregivers, interdisciplinary professionals, and other internal/external elements both orally and in writing.
• Adapts assessment tools and treatments to the complexity of the diagnosis or disabilities and demonstrates the clinical reasoning necessary to identify the need for further in-depth specific assessment of function and utilization of non-standard methods and techniques.
• Documents plan of care and care given in patient's medical record.
• Monitors patient's response to interventions, modifies treatment plan, and reevaluates as indicated to meet short-term and long-term goals.
• Expected to interpret findings from examination and evaluation, select appropriate test and measures, and integrate findings in the physical therapy plan of care for the full range of patient populations.
• Fits devices for patient needs and instructs patients/care providers in the use of these devices.
• Develops home programs for patients as needed prior to discharge and instructs patients, family, or caregivers in implementation of home program.
• Provides consultation, as needed, to peers and other staff responsible for the care of the assigned patient.
• Provides clinical oversite and collaboration with physical therapy assistants.
• Provides patient care which is appropriate to cognitive, emotional, and chronological maturation needs of young adults (18-45 years old), middle adults (45-65 years old) and older adults, (65-older) patients.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Requirements

• Shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
• Shall possess current Basic Life Support.
• Shall possess a degree or diploma from a professional Physical Therapy program approved by an accredited institution.
