Overview
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Bakersfield, CA. Start date 08/17/2026 for an eight-week contract. Weekly pay range: $2,556 per week to $2,711 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (40 hours per week). You’ll work in a hospital setting delivering perioperative nursing care.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Provide perioperative nursing care across the patient care continuum: pre-op assessment, intraoperative support, and post-anesthesia recovery as indicated.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with anesthesia, circulating staff, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment to patient care.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards; monitor patient status and respond to changes promptly.
- Document care accurately, communicate with the interdisciplinary team, and provide patient and family education as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active RN license (CA) or eligible to practice in California
- OR/perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 4x10-hour day shifts (40 hours per week) in a hospital setting
- Willingness to travel and commit to an 8-week assignment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
