This position is responsible for overseeing OR operations, staff leadership, scheduling, compliance, and departmental resources while ensuring safe and efficient surgical services. Key Responsibilities Supervise, hire, train, and support nurses, surgical technologists, and OR support staff. Coordinate daily OR assignments, staffing, and surgical workflow. Promote efficient utilization of operating rooms and departmental resources. Oversee departmental budgeting, supply purchasing, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection prevention standards, and sterile processing requirements. Provide leadership and support to the OR team in maintaining high-quality patient care. Respond to emergency situations and participate in required call coverage. Requirements Minimum 3 years of Director of Operating Room experience – Required Active Michigan license at the time of submission BLS certification through AHA – Required Strong OR leadership, staffing, and operational management experience Facility Information McLaren Lapeer Region is a 222-bed acute care hospital serving Lapeer County and surrounding communities.
