Registered Nurse-Emergency Department-Night

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights Title: RN – Emergency Department Location: Edwards Hospital – Naperville, IL Shift: Night (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays Schedule: 36 hours per week, full‑time Employment type: Full‑time Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing. If an associate degree in nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing within five years of position start date. License: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure. Certification: Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date; Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience. Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. Employ critical thinking skills; assess patients’ condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor patients’ progress, and record pertinent observations. Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Function as a team member to fulfill unit goals. General characteristics include duties that may vary by assigned unit or shift.
