AR Collections Specialist

Bates Electric, Inc. is a leading electrical contracting firm recognized for its dedication to quality, customer service, and professional installations. With operations spanning several metropolitan areas, we specialize in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical services. We are currently seeking a proactive and meticulous AR Collections Coordinator to enhance our finance team. Skills: Proficient with accounting software is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and customer relations. Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Capability to manage confidential information with integrity. Analytical mindset with the ability to thrive under deadline pressures. Responsibilities: Collections Coordination: Proactively manage accounts receivable collections by communicating with clients through various channels to secure timely payments. Cash Application: Handle daily cash applications, record bank deposits, and update cash receipt logs. Customer Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing and payments, ensuring excellent customer service. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all collection efforts for legal and audit purposes. Qualifications: Experience: At least 1-2 years in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar role within the industry. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered. Software used: Jonas Construction Software MS OUTLOOK (email, contacts, calendar) MS ACCESS (existing custom applications)
