Director of Sales

Location: Jacksonville, FL Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Bonuses Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Sick Pay, Professional Development Opportunities About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Director of Sales to lead sales efforts for a dual-branded Marriott Courtyard & Residence Inn property in Jacksonville, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven hotel sales leader who is passionate about driving revenue, building client relationships, and developing strategic business across multiple market segments. The Director of Sales will oversee all sales initiatives, including corporate, group, SMERF, and extended stay business, while partnering closely with hotel leadership to maximize occupancy, ADR, and overall revenue performance. Key Responsibilities Lead all sales efforts for a dual-branded Marriott property. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed revenue goals. Prospect new corporate, group, and extended stay accounts. Build and maintain relationships with key clients and community partners. Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, and property tours. Negotiate contracts and manage the full sales cycle. Monitor pace, production, occupancy, ADR, and market trends. Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and revenue strategies. Collaborate with Operations and Revenue Management to maximize hotel performance. Represent the hotels at industry events, trade shows, and Chamber of Commerce functions. Ensure brand standards and Marriott sales initiatives are consistently executed. Qualifications 3+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, Marriott-branded properties. Previous Director of Sales or Senior Sales Manager experience preferred. Strong background in corporate, group, and extended stay sales. Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Experience with Marriott sales systems and CRM platforms is preferred.
