Job Summary: Responsible for the operation of diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging for the performance of all MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

• Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data at all times.
• Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
• Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all images

Qualifications:

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred.
• Licensure: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on MRI or registry eligible.
• BLS Required Skills: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.
