Associate Attorney – Property Damage / Insurance Defense
Location: Tampa, FL (In-Office)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $85,000 - $150,000 (based on experience)

Hightower & Partners, an AV-rated insurance defense law firm, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with experience in property damage litigation to join our growing Tampa office . Prior experience with FIGA (Florida Insurance Guaranty Association) cases is highly preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position, and candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload focused on property damage, first-party claims, and FIGA matters.

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and correspondence.

• Appear in court and represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers.

• Maintain organized case files and adhere to deadlines and billing requirements.

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for property damage and FIGA case work.

• Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with law firm billing practices and time entry protocols.

• Ability to work independently, manage a high-volume caseload, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
