The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of Florida workers' compensation experience, strong litigation and negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney seeking to join a highly regarded practice with an established presence in South Florida and a strong commitment to client advocacy and results.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a caseload of Florida workers' compensation matters from inception through resolutionEvaluate claims, medical records, wage information, benefits, and other case-related documentationDevelop case strategies and provide knowledgeable legal counsel throughout the claims and litigation processDraft and file petitions, motions, discovery, responses, and other legal documentsConduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, medical providers, and expertsAttend mediations, hearings, conferences, and other workers' compensation proceedingsNegotiate with opposing counsel and insurance carriers to achieve favorable resolutionsPrepare matters for final hearings and litigation when necessaryMaintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and expectationsEnsure all deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements are handled accurately and efficientlyCollaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and other members of the legal teamStay current on developments in Florida workers' compensation statutes, regulations, and case lawQualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with The Florida BarMinimum of five years of Florida workers' compensation experienceStrong knowledge of Florida workers' compensation law and procedureDemonstrated ability to independently manage workers' compensation mattersSignificant experience with depositions, mediations, hearings, negotiations, and case resolutionStrong litigation and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to effectively manage a substantial caseload and competing deadlinesSound legal judgment and strong attention to detailProfessional, client-focused approach with a commitment to providing high-quality legal representationAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentThe OpportunityOur client offers the opportunity to join an established South Florida law firm with an experienced legal team and a strong reputation in the community.
