About the Role

This quick-start opportunity is ideal for a skilled nurse with strong Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic Med-Surg experience who can provide safe, patient-centered care in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Provide nursing care for Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic Med-Surg patients
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
Document all patient care activities in EPIC EMR according to hospital standards
Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
Delegate tasks appropriately and support unit workflow
Function as Charge Nurse when required
Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards

Requirements

Active and current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License required
BLS/BCLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Med-Surg nursing experience required
Experience with Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic patient populations preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient care skills
