Registered Nurse-Med/Surg

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide nursing care for Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic Med-Surg patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
- Document all patient care activities in EPIC EMR according to hospital standards
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Delegate tasks appropriately and support unit workflow
- Function as Charge Nurse when required
- Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
- Active and current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License required
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Med-Surg nursing experience required
- Experience with Adult, Pediatric, and Orthopedic patient populations preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient care skills
