Compensation Hourly ranges may vary based on location, role, and skill set. The facility provides a reasonable hourly range in accordance with California law. Essential Functions Request and process all bills to third‑party payors and patients, maximizing reimbursement to meet hospital goals. Accurately and timely enter charges, payments, adjustments, and other transactions into patient accounts for both insurance and patient billing. Follow up with insurance companies on submitted billing to support effective cash flow of hospital receivables. Record both accounts receivable and miscellaneous cash. Prepare bank deposits and post cash and adjustments to patient records as required. Balance accounts receivable and maintain supporting reports per department policy. Retrieve and perform electronic billing to insurance companies in a timely manner. Make follow‑up calls to insurance companies and guarantors as necessary. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Education, Experience, and Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional college coursework preferred. Three years of business office experience, preferably in a hospital or medical office.
