Senior Software Engineer (AI, Data)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need demonstrated experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for distributed systems and platform services.
• We expect strong hands-on expertise in Python, including building and maintaining APIs and SDKs, plus the ability to lead design and conduct high-quality code and design reviews.
• We require experience with enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, and the ability to establish practical team norms for correctness, performance, and security validation in daily engineering work.
• We need experience delivering platforms that use Generative AI, including LLM orchestration patterns and agentic AI frameworks, with production-grade evaluation and monitoring practices.
• We require practical experience with AWS, containerized platforms such as EKS or ECS, and Terraform or an equivalent infrastructure-as-code approach.
• We require Databricks experience, including building and operating data and ML workloads on Databricks such as pipelines, notebooks or jobs, Delta or feature datasets, and orchestration integrated with ML workflows.
• We expect comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle, agile delivery, CI/CD, and modern engineering quality controls.
• We need strong communication skills with business partners and technical stakeholders, including the ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
• Preferred: experience building ML platforms that integrate data engineering, feature management, and model serving into cohesive developer-friendly workflows.
• Preferred: knowledge of AI and ML model integration, context engineering, and MCP-style patterns for tool or function integration.
• Preferred: exposure to Snowflake.
• Preferred: familiarity with observability and metrics tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
• Preferred: AWS certifications.

• We serve as a hands-on technical leader, contributing production Python code and owning delivery from design through production operations.
• We lead system and platform architecture for components that support end-to-end ML workflows, including data transformation patterns, feature management integration, orchestration enablement, and model serving integration.
• We design and develop agentic AI capabilities that analyze workloads and generate optimization recommendations, including the evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops needed for production readiness.
• We build and maintain reusable APIs, SDKs, and reference implementations that support consistent platform adoption and reduce duplicated effort across teams.
• We partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to clarify requirements, define technical approaches, manage dependencies, and deliver measurable results.
• We ensure platform reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency through SLOs, proactive monitoring, incident response participation, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• We automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines for platform services using infrastructure as code, enabling safe and repeatable deployments across environments.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while setting consistent validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
• We produce architecture and design artifacts for platform components, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
• We mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and pairing to strengthen engineering excellence.
• We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies.
