(Use of an order picker at height is part of this position.) Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: Operate a forklift and related equipment to load and unload trucks and move material within the warehouse. Review shipments and advise management of shortages or damaged shipments. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material/equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets, work tickets, or handheld scanner. Maintain warehouse area neat and organized. Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements related to this position. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Operation and Control – Controlling operations of equipment or systems. Performing General Physical Activities – Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material – Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects. Making Decisions and Solving Problems – Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
