Engineering Lab Technician

Our client, a Fortune 250 global medical technology company serving the Clinical Laboratory, Healthcare Research, and Pharmaceutical industries, is seeking an experienced Engineering Lab Technician to support engineering testing, laboratory operations, manufacturing support activities, and technical documentation within a regulated medical device environment. Location: Salt Lake City, Utah 84116 Duration: 12‑Month Contract with possible extension Pay Rate: $30/hr – $32/hr (depending on experience) Work Schedule: On‑site Relocation Assistance: No relocation expenses or assistance provided Key Responsibilities Assist in generating formal test protocols and technical reports Support execution of engineering test protocols and laboratory procedures Set up and operate laboratory and testing equipment with limited supervision Collect, record, and organize test data in reportable formats Maintain accurate documentation and data sheets in compliance with regulatory requirements Provide process and test method training to Manufacturing and Quality Control personnel Track and expedite Development Builds through manufacturing and documentation processes Support activities within regulated laboratory and biohazard environments while following safety procedures Develop working knowledge of BD policies/procedures, ISO standards, and FDA regulations Required Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, or related field OR Minimum four (4) years of related experience Previous laboratory experience required Experience working within the medical device industry required Strong attention to detail with experience handling technical documentation and data sheets Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position Required Skills Technical writing skills Strong organizational and documentation abilities Ability to accurately collect, record, and report data General aptitude with laboratory testing and manufacturing equipment Basic understanding of laboratory practices Basic math and statistics knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Team‑oriented mindset with ability to work under supervision Detail‑oriented and task‑focused approach Additional Information Onsite position in Salt Lake City, UT 12-month contract with possible extension Competitive hourly pay based on experience Amerit Consulting provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
