Mechanical Designer And Engineering Design Checker

Aerospace and defense program. This role focuses on mechanical design, drawing validation, and CAD modeling in a Siemens NX/Teamcenter environment, ensuring designs meet stringent military, manufacturing, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, review, and validate 3D models, drawings, and design packages using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Ensure designs meet GD&T, military, and industry standards for fit, function, manufacturability, and cost.
• Perform tolerance analysis, design checking, and drawing release activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support a paperless, PMI-driven design environment and contribute to long-term aerospace and defense programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace, defense, DoD, or similar industries.
• Strong proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Expert knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Experience with tolerance analysis, manufacturing support, and design reviews.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred

• Experience supporting military, missile, launch, or defense programs.
• GD&T certification (GDTP) or advanced GD&T training.
• Familiarity with PMI and model-based engineering environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $59.82/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
