Position Description The Paralegal II is responsible for providing legal, commercial, and administrative support. This position will act as a liaison between Legal, EnFin, Axia, and QSS’s business teams and may participate in discussions relating to demand letters, complaints, claims, and other legal filings related to residential business. The role reports to and works directly with the Director of Contracts or another senior management personnel designated by the General Counsel of the Company. This position is located in Irvine, California. Description The Paralegal II is responsible for providing legal, commercial, and administrative support. This position will act as a liaison between Legal, EnFin, Axia, and QSS’s business teams and may participate in discussions relating to demand letters, complaints, claims, and other legal filings related to residential business. Responsibilities Case Management: a) Check and acknowledge the Service of Processes and send an acknowledgement letter promptly. b) Liaise between the business teams and legal to verify facts for demand letters, complaints, and other legal filings against installers and other residential business partners. c) Prepare case analysis, identify issues, omissions, and discrepancies. d) Draft demand letters, outline and narrative summaries, and chronologies of installer risk records of events under an Attorney’s supervision. e) Manage, update and assist with case spreadsheet/database of legal claims, complaints, and other legal filings related to each business. Support in‑house counsels with overall administrative support including but not limited to preparing various types of letters, claims, schedules, invoices, status reports, and supporting documents in a timely manner; interfacing with vendors/service providers and cross‑functional teams to process invoices and expenses for in‑house counsels; setting up meetings; and other administrative duties and ad‑hoc projects as needed. Review NDAs and any other agreements as necessary (e.g. PSAs, SOWs, amendments, assignments, estoppels) assigned under direction of either the Director of Legal Ops and Contracts or an Attorney. Contract/version control management – manage and maintain/version control TPO contracts (e.g. drafts, clean, and redlined versions) and manage the version control tracker in a timely manner. Backup other team members within Legal Ops as necessary. This position will have two direct reports. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5–7+ years of experience or equivalent in‑house legal department or law firm experience. Advanced understanding and knowledge of litigation processes and ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, written communication, and time management skills. Agile and effective communicator with clear oral and written explanations. Ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and deadlines. Proactive and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment. Confidence and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization. Dependable and trustworthy. Computer and tech savvy. Advanced/Expert level in MS Office Suite, G‑Suite, Salesforce, and Adobe Pro (PDF), AdobeSign/DocuSign. Enjoy learning using new software or any type of computer system (e.g. Agiloft). Preferred Qualifications CA Notary public, Remont Online Notary (RON), or willing to become one. A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved program. Experience with the solar or renewable industry is a plus. Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc.
