Director (RN) Surgical ServicesLocation: Missoula, MT 59804 (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time The Director (RN) Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing all surgical services operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient department management. This leadership role includes responsibility for staff supervision, operational performance, and strategic planning within the surgical services department.Key Responsibilities• Oversee daily operations of surgical services, including OR, pre-op, and post-op areas • Lead, mentor, and manage nursing and clinical staff • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards • Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources • Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives • Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and cross-functional teams • Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements • Support staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning • Maintain high standards of clinical care and operational excellenceMust-Have Skills• Active or eligible Montana RN license • 5+ years of Surgical Services nursing experience • Leadership experience at Manager or Director level • Strong clinical and operational knowledgeRequired Skills• Surgical services operations management • Staff leadership and performance management • Budgeting and financial oversight • Regulatory compliance and quality assurance • Strong communication and leadership skillsPreferred / Nice-to-Have Skills• Master's degree (MSN, MHA, or MBA) • BLS certification upon hire • PALS and ACLS within 6 monthsIndustry Experience• Acute care hospital / surgical services requiredEducation• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required • Advanced degree preferredAdditional Notes• Senior leadership role within surgical services • Strong focus on patient safety, quality, and operational efficiency • Onsite role in Missoula, MT
