Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for planning and directing the sales, production, and distribution operations of a branch location. This role ensures profitability and operational efficiency by managing internal teams and coordinating with customers, vendors, and corporate leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Manage all sales and operational functions of the branch office
• Ensure branch profitability through effective leadership of customer service, estimating, and outside sales teams
• Coordinate sales activities and order processing to meet customer expectations and company standards
• Serve as a key point of contact for customer and internal communication, addressing issues promptly and professionally
• Analyze branch performance using standard reporting tools and recommend improvements
• Oversee personnel matters, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Develop and implement sales programs to expand into new markets and grow revenue
• Prepare and recommend annual branch budgets to senior management
• Directly supervise a team of 8 or more employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable laws

    • Conducting performance evaluations
    • Administering employee recognition and disciplinary actions

• Addressing complaints and resolving conflicts

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Individual manages 2 or more employees in the department
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field, plus 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in the glazing or commercial construction industry; combination of experience, education and certifications may be considered
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with a track record of driving results
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using performance metrics to evaluate branch operations

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and is expected to use proper lifting techniques at all times. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision. Travel Requirements:

The travel required for this position is less than 10%.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. Individuals are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at designated times and in specified environments in accordance with established safety program requirements. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. While performing job duties, individuals may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.

At YKK AP America Inc., base pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role in Southern California is between $151,990 - $172,255 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
