PURCHASING COORDINATOR

This is a hands-on purchasing role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the ordering process from start to finish. You’ll work closely with vendors, internal team members, and inventory while helping ensure materials are ordered accurately and received on time.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders (POs) for materials, products, and inventory
• Review purchase orders for accuracy, including quantities, pricing, vendor information, and delivery details
• Submit orders to vendors and confirm order acknowledgments
• Communicate directly with vendors by phone and email regarding purchase orders, pricing, availability, backorders, and delivery dates
• Proactively follow up on outstanding POs and delayed shipments
• Track open purchase orders from initial order placement through receipt
• Request and compare vendor quotes when needed
• Assist with resolving PO discrepancies, incorrect shipments, shortages, pricing issues, and damaged materials
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders based on business needs
• Work with the warehouse to verify inventory, match received products against purchase orders, and research discrepancies
