High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to two years related experience Required to lift, carry, push and pull various supplies and/or equipment up to a maximum of 50 pounds Willing to help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board Of Education may find appropriate
Set up the serving line, as necessary, to prepare for serving the menu for the day and continually keeping the serving line full. Assist with preparing food according to tested recipes and/or directions, ensuring proper cooking times and temperatures are followed. Under the cook's guidance, keep accurate records of how much food was prepared on a daily basis, updating the number when necessary, and submit these records to the cook. Serve correct portions, according to the meal production sheet, to all customers in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness. Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, serving area and with food service equipment. After each lunch shift, clean the food service area including the hot and cold serving line (front and back), sweep the floor if needed, restock the line (hot & cold) for the next lunch shift and assist in preparing food for the next shift to include prep and portioning of menu items, keeping a count of prepared items for the day. After lunch is completed, clean the serving line area including hot and cold serving line (front and back) and assist the cook with counting the leftover food. Assist with clean up after meal service, including items such as, wiping off work surfaces, door/drawer handles, washing dishes to include pots and pans. Under the cook's guidance, complete any preparation work necessary for the next day. Assist with putting away deliveries according to the cook's instructions making sure stock is rotated as necessary. Assist with ordering necessary food and/or supplies required for the planned menu and/or the activities by informing the cook when stock is low. Assist with the completion of the monthly inventory report under the direction of the cook. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director as pertains to job goals.

Consistent requirements to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, read and speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, climb and stoop Consistent requirements to lift, carry, push and pull various supplies and/or equipment up to a maximum of 50 pounds
Performance of these responsibilities will be evaluated by the Food Service Director in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy.
