Travel WelderAL Remote - Pelham, AL 35124; AR Remote - Mena, AR 71953; AZ Remote - Tempe, AZ 85281; FL Remote - Tampa, FL 33602; GA Remote - Atlanta, GA 31545; KS Remote - Olathe, KS 66062; LA Remote - Ferriday, LA 71334; Luverne AL - Luverne, AL 36049OverviewPosition Type: Part Time Job Shift: Any Travel Percentage: Road WarriorDescriptionPosition Summary: This position is responsible to lay out, fit, fabricate, install and/or construct metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.Responsibilities & Expectations:Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positionsWeld in all positions, vertical, horizontalEvaluate all engineering drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specificationsPerform all welding work with help of forming and cutting equipmentProvide assistance to production process wherever necessaryDesign and produce new parts according to specificationsPerform efficient welding of various metal objectsPerform work with help of various hand and power toolsAnalyze diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly with help of cutting equipmentEvaluate finished products and perform quality checks on productsAdminister all welding activities in a safe and efficient mannerAssemble old units and perform modification and repair work if requiredCollaborate work with metal sheets and apply various insulation materialsRead Blueprints and/or Drawings:Use Welding material per provided drawingsCommunicate defects to managerSafety:Attend scheduled safety meetingsEnforce all applicable safety policiesMaintain a safe work environmentPromote safety among co-workersParticipate in Behavior Based Safety programPower saws and portable grinders:Assist in use of portable grinder, hand file, and/or scraper as necessaryUse precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and anglesOther:All other duties as assignedAttributes:Problem Solving – Ability to read blueprintsMust be capable of working any shift, overtime, be on-call, or work seven days a week and travel to customer sitesMust be able to multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer needsMust be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workersMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independentlyMust possess the basic reading and math skillsStrong record of attendance reliabilitySafety Oriented with the ability to work well within a team environmentMust be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this jobPhysical Demands include, but are not limited to:Must be physically able to perform work assignedMust be physically capable of accessing all plant locations including working at heightsAccess all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnelsWill be working at times in covered environment or in an outside environmentThe employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and ParticlesThe employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sittingAbility to consistently lift over 50 pounds as neededQualificationsWelding skills and experience.
