The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering complex network solutions, supporting mission-critical services, and implementing advanced Cisco networking technologies across internal and customer-facing projects. Detailed Job Description As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise and data center network environments. Working across multiple projects, you will design, deploy, upgrade, troubleshoot, and support advanced networking solutions including Cisco routing and switching platforms, Cisco Nexus data center technologies, and Cisco ACI software-defined networking environments. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and experience supporting high-availability network services. You will collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable connectivity, operational excellence, and successful delivery of infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and support complex network solutions and infrastructure upgrades. Perform regular software, firmware, and platform upgrades across network devices and applications. Deploy and commission new network devices and services for internal and external projects. Prepare Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation and technical solution documentation. Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) activities for new technologies and network services. Participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and service failover testing exercises. Provide second-line technical support for internal and external users. Manage and coordinate network connectivity services with ISPs, including leased lines, fiber, microwave, VSAT, and mobile connectivity solutions. Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switching environments. Support enterprise and data center switching platforms including Cisco Nexus 1000, 2000, 5000, 7000, and 9000 series. Manage Cisco Fabric Interconnect and chassis-based switching solutions. Administer, maintain, and optimize Cisco ACI Software-Defined Networking (SDN) environments. Diagnose and resolve network incidents while ensuring maximum system availability and performance. Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise networking, data center networking, or network operations. Strong hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies. Proven experience deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Cisco network environments. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols. Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions. Experience supporting Cisco Nexus data center switching platforms. Experience working with ISP connectivity services, WAN technologies, fiber, microwave, VSAT, and leased circuits. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to create technical documentation, low-level designs, and implementation procedures. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively within project delivery and operational support environments. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with load balancer technologies and application delivery solutions. Experience with Cisco Wireless networking solutions. Knowledge of network automation and software-defined networking frameworks. Familiarity with data center virtualization and cloud networking concepts. Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools. ITIL Foundation certification. Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery network architectures.
