Research Support- Limited Term (MURTY)

Job Summary The Research Administration Support role provides essential administrative and operational assistance for research projects and laboratory activities. This role helps ensure compliance with funding and institute policies, supports lab coordination, and promotes efficient research operations. This is a 1-year research assistant position under the supervision of Dr. Ratan Murty. Responsibilities Assist with documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting for research projects. Collaborate in preparing and submitting research proposals, providing detailed support for budget development and financial monitoring. Help maintain inventory, coordinate equipment upkeep, and support safety compliance efforts. Assist in ensuring research activities follow institutional, state, and federal regulations. Participate in training on research policies, lab safety, and compliance standards. Serve as a point of contact between researchers, funding sources, and institutional offices. Organize and manage logistics for research meetings, workshops, and presentations to support project goals and stakeholder engagement. Maintain and audit research records and compliance documentation to support data integrity and audit readiness. Provide administrative support to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Key day‑to‑day responsibilities include running studies, scheduling, coordinating data organization, basic QA, and training/evaluating deep learning‑based models of the brain. Educational Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma. Vocational Training/Degree may be preferred or required (some profiles may require additional education). Required Experience One or more years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related field Experience collecting, and/or analyzing, and organizing fMRI data Ability to run day‑to‑day studies with general study operations Basic QA knowledge Proposed Salary Pay Range: $20-$22/hr. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities This job requires working knowledge of research lab equipment and support processes and practices. Includes skill in data organization, statistical analysis, and the use of statistical and scientific computer applications.
