Position Summary: Alumacraft Boats Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position will support production by responding to down equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventative maintenance work orders, and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, is comfortable working independently in a manufacturing environment, and has experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document repairs, manage work orders, and track preventive maintenance activities. The starting hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $35.00 to $40.00. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime and restore equipment safely and efficiently. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment problems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures. Troubleshoot motors, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, pneumatic components, and other industrial equipment. Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery including but not limited to press brakes, routers, and paint booths. Perform mechanical repairs and replacements of components including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, and motors. Use electrical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify equipment faults. Utilize CMMS software to: receive and complete work orders document troubleshooting and repairs record labor, parts, and equipment history complete preventive maintenance work orders identify recurring failures and maintenance needs Communicate equipment status, repairs, and outstanding issues with production and maintenance leadership teams Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of production equipment. Maintain an organized maintenance work area and properly manage tools and spare parts. Follow applicable safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe electrical and mechanical work practices. Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Required High school diploma or equivalent Valid Drivers License Industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, electromechanical, or related experience. Strong mechanical and electrical machinery and production equipment. Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and production equipment Experience using CMMS software for work orders and maintenance documentation Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to methodically diagnose equipment failures. Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in and around equipment as required. Preferred Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, automation, electromechanically technology, or a related field. Experience with VFDs, -controlled equipment, CNC machinery, and industrial automation. Experience with 24 VDC control circuits, industrial motor controls, relays, contactors, and sensors.
