Title Senior Institutional Mental Health Account Specialist Therapeutic Area Neuroscience - COBENFY Locations Providence, RI; Woonsocket, RI; Worcester, MA Position Summary The Institutional MHAS is a key member of the BMS team that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs) to drive adoption of new and existing medicines. The role supports the U.S. commercialization of COBENFY, the first treatment to target muscarinic receptor circuits for schizophrenia, and focuses on Community Mental Health Centers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers, and hospitals. The position is field‑based and requires 100% time in the field engaging health‑care providers within a defined territory or region. Key Responsibilities Promote approved BMS products and articulate the clinical and scientific rationale for their use to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner. Build and maintain strong relationships with regional thought leaders, community and hospital physicians, pharmacists, P&T committees, and other stakeholders to drive demand and support formulary access. Develop and execute territory and account plans, leveraging available tools to inform call plans and provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement. Provide scientific expertise, conduct in‑office presentations, manage speaker programs, and engage medical support to address real‑time clinical inquiries. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure a superior customer experience and comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies. Maintain a thorough understanding of hospital-based treatment pathways, reimbursement, and multidisciplinary care coordination. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales, MSL, or related healthcare roles. Strong communication skills to present scientific data accurately and persuasively to physicians. Proven experience building credibility with community‑ and hospital‑based customers, case managers, and other healthcare stakeholders. Experience in psychiatry and in Community Mental Health Centers or hospitals preferred. Deep understanding of hospital and healthcare systems, formulary processes, and P&T committee engagement. Proficiency in account management, sales performance tracking, and cross‑functional collaboration. Positive team mindset with a can‑do attitude. Customer/Commercial Mindset Demonstrated ability to drive business results and cultivate credibility across the patient care journey. Strong account management, problem‑solving, and resource‑identifying skills. Patient Centricity Understanding of the patient journey and a patient‑focused mindset. Scientific Agility Excellent presentation skills to convey scientific data to HCPs. Strong learning mindset and passion for science to stay current with emerging data. Analytical Capability Ability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, and HCP preferences to inform strategy. Skill in segmenting HCPs based on preferences and other relevant factors. Understanding of BMS product data, customer preferences, and clinical data. Technological Agility Proficiency with digital communication channels and CRM tools. Experience using medical support technology and staying updated on advancements. Teamwork/Enterprise Mindset Business acumen to analyze market drivers and develop plans. Learning agility and willingness to apply lessons from experience. Balance of individual drive with collaborative attitude and high integrity. Qualified driver requirement for company‑provided vehicle. Compensation Overview Field - United States – $139,230 - $168,714 per year.
