Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages using standardized tests and observational strategies.
• Craft personalized treatment plans that tackle both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work jointly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay engaged with ongoing innovations in the field through professional development and peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
