Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing evidence-based assessments and techniques.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term speech, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication clarity, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational and physical therapists, physicians, and family members, to devise integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress in everyday scenarios outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the patient's journey.
• Keep detailed and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain informed on advancements in the field through continuous education and peer-to-peer learning.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been attained.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days post-hire.
