Facility Worker - BHRC

Black Hills State University seeks applicants for a Facility Worker position with the Department of Facilities Services. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing floors, walls, restrooms, and furniture in offices, institutional buildings, classrooms, and labs to meet sanitary regulations and enhance the appearance of the buildings. Uses hand tools to perform general building maintenance. Works with a variety of chemicals. Uses ladders to clean windows and change lamps.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and write
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be self-directed
• Experience operating buffers and scrubbers is desired

Comments: Will work in classrooms, administrative offices, labs, and lobby areas of the building. Some overtime and weekend work may be required. Benefits include paid health and life insurance for the employee, employer matched retirement at 6% of gross pay, and annual and sick leave.

Work hours: 5AM – 1:30PM, M-F
