Details Neurosurgical unit caring for stroke, seizure, MS, spinal, and neurosurgery patients Night shift, 3x12, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Uses EPIC EMR Every other weekend required Floating as needed within scope No on-call requirements Requirements Active RN license (MO or Compact) required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient acute care experience in Med/Surg or Neuro required FIT test required upon arrival at facility Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1 Additional Information Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in a Neurosurgical unit Maintains professional accountability for assigned patient care and evaluates care provided by other caregivers Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality Night shift orientation occurs on day shift, requiring full week availability for orientation Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day) Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week period, with additional time made up at the end of the assignment Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months allowed These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
