Process Engineer

Manufacturing Process Engineer | Scale-Up & Manufacturing Excellence | Greater Charleston, SC

I'm working with a well-established manufacturer that is investing in its manufacturing technology and engineering capabilities.

This role will take formulations from development into full-scale production while improving processes, reducing variation, and making manufacturing more efficient.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of process engineering, manufacturing, and materials science alongside a collaborative technical team.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Optimize manufacturing processes involving mixing, compounding, coating, curing, and other chemical processing operations

• Lead process improvements for production machines, like extrusion and planetary mixers

• Scale new formulations from the laboratory into commercial manufacturing

• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and quality issues using structured problem-solving methods

• Partner closely with chemists, operations, quality, and manufacturing engineering

• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives that have a measurable impact on plant performance

We're interested in engineers with experience in:

• Chemical process engineering within a manufacturing environment

• Process scale-up, validation, and commercialization

• Continuous improvement and root cause analysis

• Batch or continuous chemical processing

• Elastomers, polymers, specialty chemicals, coatings, or similar materials manufacturing

This is a highly visible engineering role where your work will directly influence manufacturing performance, product quality, and future product introductions.

Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (Onsite)
