The Line Prep Cook plays a crucial role in supporting a small prep team within a casual dining environment. This position involves preparing ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is set up for efficient cooking operations during rotating shifts. The Line Prep Cook works independently to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation, contributing to overall kitchen success with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and portion standards
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately
- Maintain strict sanitation and kitchen safety compliance
- Set up and organize prep stations for efficient workflow
- Support cooking staff by providing prepped ingredients and assistance
- Monitor and reduce food waste
- Perform quality control checks on prepared items
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in food preparation
