Welder's Needed 1st & 2nd Shift
We are seeking a skilled welder to perform Flux Core Welding on mild steel for the construction of barges. The role involves using MIG and TIG welding techniques, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with a team under the guidance of a supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding on mild steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment under supervision.
- Engage in fabrication and fitting tasks.
- Handle welding of stainless, carbon, and structural steel.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with fabrication and fitting tasks.
- Knowledge of welding stainless, carbon, and structural steel.
Work Environment
This role requires working in an outdoor environment that can be very hot. The job necessitates wearing steel-toed ankle-high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants. Note that contact lenses are not permitted due to smoke exposure from welding. Work is scheduled in shifts: 1st shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 2nd shift is Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM to 12:45 AM.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN.
The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
