Quality Control

Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a Quality Control for our Fresno client! This is a full time temp to hire position paying $18 - $22 an hour.

Reports To: Quality Manager

Position Summary

This role supports the Quality Management System through control of records, document control support, and coordination of production documentation including Work Orders and Control Plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain quality records in accordance with retention requirements.
• Ensure records are complete, legible, and properly filed.
• Assist in retrieval of records for internal and external audits.
• Support updating and distribution of controlled documents.
• Ensure current document revisions are available at point of use.
• Remove obsolete documents from use and maintain revision history.
• Verify Work Orders reference the correct Control Plan or applicable process controls.
• Assist in maintaining alignment between Work Orders, Control Plans, and procedures.
• Support collection and organization of inspection and quality data.
• Maintain logs for internal issues, customer concerns, and corrective actions (as assigned).
• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation during audits.

Quality Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy and completeness of quality records and documentation. Identify and escalate missing, incorrect, or unclear documentation. Support alignment between documented processes and actual operations.

Authority & Decision Rights

Authority to identify incomplete or missing records. Authority to request clarification or correction of documentation. Authority to hold or prevent release of records that do not meet requirements.

Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

Follow company safety requirements.

Required Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in manufacturing, quality, or administrative support preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail. Organizational and recordkeeping skills. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, file management). Ability to interpret Work Orders and basic drawings (training provided).

Training & Qualification Requirements

Document control procedures. Record retention requirements. Work Order and Control Plan structure. Basic blueprint reading (as applicable). Safety training.
