Associate Attorney - Litigation (Real Estate / Local Government Experience a Plus) Chicago, IL Denzin Soltanzadeh LLC is a Chicago-based boutique law firm at the intersection of real estate, community development, and environmental law. We serve as lead counsel for land banks, local governments, and nonprofits, with a focus on novel strategies to acquire, manage, and repurpose abandoned, tax-delinquent, and other distressed properties. We are a small, collaborative firm that offers a hybrid work arrangement and significant flexibility and autonomy to our team. We are seeking an associate attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our Chicago practice. The ideal candidate has a solid litigation foundation and exposure to real estate matters and/or local government/municipal law. Responsibilities Manage litigation matters, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions Draft briefs, pleadings, and correspondence Appear in state and/or federal court Advise on real estate disputes as needed Support land banking and local government client matters Collaborate directly with partners and clients Qualifications J.D. and active Illinois law license (ARDC registered, in good standing) 2+ years of litigation experience Real estate litigation or transactional exposure preferred Local government/municipal law experience a plus Strong writing, research, and courtroom skills Ability to manage a caseload independently Compensation & Benefits Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Short-term and long-term disability insurance Commuter benefits Flexible hybrid work environment We are an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr U.S. Bankruptcy Court - District of CT
