Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Home Care Setting

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Carlsbad, California. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to partner with patients as they navigate their journey towards restored mobility and improved function. As a key member of our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will work closely with clients, developing individualized treatment plans that emphasize movement potential and overall quality of life.

Our Carlsbad location operates within a state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility, well-equipped to support innovative treatment solutions. Our physical therapy team consists of two experienced Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all of whom are dedicated to delivering specialized care tailored to the diverse needs of our patients.

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, allowing for hands-on patient interaction in our cutting-edge home care facility. Our collaborative environment fosters teamwork and encourages open communication among staff members. You will engage with various health professionals, promoting interdisciplinary approaches that enhance patient outcomes. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, granting a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their goals and therapeutic needs.
• Develop and implement tailored care plans utilizing a variety of specialized treatment techniques.
• Manage an expected caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring each individual receives quality, evidence-based care.
• Empower clients by promoting strengths through customized fitness and wellness programs.
• Focus on reducing reliance on medications and provide alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy skills and therapeutic exercises to enhance patient mobility and functional capabilities.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Document all patient interactions and outcomes accurately in our EMR system, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure integrated approaches to patient wellness.
• Actively motivate and support patients to enhance their recovery and maintain optimal function.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedics, catering to a diverse range of patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, or chronic pain. Our clientele includes individuals from various backgrounds, including athletes, active adults, and those seeking to regain mobility after surgery. Your role will directly impact their journey to recovery by improving their functional movement and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• A valid Physical Therapist license for New Jersey with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy and exercise prescription skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in managing a diverse caseload in a private practice.
• Ability to creatively adapt treatment methodologies to address individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level.
