PRIMARY PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION

The primary purpose of your job position is to develop and maintain dietary service objectives, standards, policy and procedure manuals and coordinates dietary services with other resident services. You are also responsible for the planning, budgeting, and development of the department; as well as purchasing food and supplies, means, and providing a sanitary environment. In addition, you are responsible for carrying out and delegating assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulation and established facility policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, menus, recipes, food purchasing, preparation and storage; keeps abreast of economic conditions/situations ; and possesses the ability to supervise and manage in accordance to federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in the facility.

·       Must have computer skills as to order food and supplies; also to communicate via e-mails to other staff etc.

·       Knowledge and the ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA.
