Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Travel) – Registered Respiratory Therapist | Potsdam, NY, United States. Start date: 09/21/2026. Duration: Weeks (travel assignment). Weekly pay: $2,170–$2,216 per week. Shift: 3x12 Days. Setting: 24/7 in-house respiratory therapy department supporting ICU, ED, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, and low-volume neonatal stabilization in a 100-bed community hospital. This travel assignment is open to first-time travelers and requires EPIC charting proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation and weaning, across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients as needed
- Operate and optimize ventilators (preferred: Servo I, LTV, Hamilton T1); use adjunct modes such as HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, and trach collar as appropriate
- Provide airway management, suctioning (oral/nasal and tracheostomy), and tracheostomy care
- Interpret ABGs and participate in rounds and routine med delivery; administer aerosol/nebulizer meds and MDI as prescribed
- Stabilize newborns when required and support pediatric patients; provide rapid response and stabilization as needed
- Document care in the EPIC charting system and collaborate with ICU, ED, Med/Surg, and Pediatrics teams; participate in care across units during float periods

Requirements
- NY State RT license in hand prior to submittal
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RT experience; first-time travelers accepted; community hospital experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to work in a 24/7 in-house respiratory therapy department and float across ICU, ED, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, and neonatal stabilization
