A full-time Pharmacist position is available in a retail pharmacy setting located in Altoona, PA. This direct hire role offers variable day and afternoon shifts with an expected 74 bi-weekly hours. The start date is immediate.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with store operations to engage associates and align pharmacy activities with business strategies.
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance in prescription processing through thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Managing the pharmacy department to achieve profitability by driving prescription growth, recommending clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Controlling inventory by monitoring weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand.
• Aligning departmental performance with key measurable metrics for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Delivering excellent customer service by addressing medical inquiries and providing healthcare counseling.
• Supervising pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff while overseeing training, coaching, and discipline.
• Maintaining pharmacy security and a clean, well-organized department.
• Resolving customer issues to foster trust and loyalty.
• Liaising with physicians and utilizing reference materials to address prescription-related issues.
• Prioritizing and completing pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call processing.

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
